| Art Stations (4 stations) Stations are set up which the children rotate through at their own pace in our open studio area. They will experience anything from painting on the easels, to creating designs with paint in shaving cream! This is a very fun, creative and messy experience! Stations: · Painting Wall · Chalkboard · Easels · Shaving Cream Art · Sand Art · Clay (Air dry) Mouse Paint We will read a book “Mouse Paint” and then play with paint just like the mice. We’ll learn about primary and secondary colors and do multiple painting projects with crazy stuff, like golf balls. We all scream for Ice-Cream! The kids will mix up their favorite ice cream paint colors, create an ice cream sundae collage and top it off with chocolate syrup glue. This is a very fun way to learn about color theory! | Painting Like the Masters Amaze yourselves when you create an original still life or landscape on canvas with acrylics and pastels. We will have lots of images from which to inspire your masterpiece. Box Dazzlers Paint and decorate your own papier-mâché/wood jewelry box or treasure chest to keep all your valuables in. Paint Terra Cotta Pots Decorate your own terra cotta plant, and then plant a flower. Canvas Bags Design your own fun images on them. Carry all your stuff in them and take them everywhere with you. Masquerade Mask Create fun and intriguing designs and paint a mask which can be hung on a wall. Add special characteristics (feathers, a unicorn horn, glitter jewels and much more) - make it one of a kind just like you Beaded Jewelry Create your own one of a kind glass bead bracelet as you learn about the tools and techniques on jewelry making. An Art Lesson Have an art lesson in which the students learn about the elements of art/Principles of Design in a fun environment. The lesson will be customized depending on art theme and focus. |
